Industrial Liaison Officer (Graduate)

The Aerospace Technology Institute

The Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) sits at the centre of UK aerospace research and technology.  We promote transformative technology in air transport, create the technology strategy for UK aerospace and fund world-class research projects. More information about the ATI is available on our website:

FlyZero is the ATI project to enable the UK to lead a revolution in zero-carbon commercial air travel. We are pulling together expertise from across the UK supply chain and universities in an initial 12-month programme to look at the design challenges and market opportunity of potential zero-emission aircraft concepts. The strategic research project will consist of approximately 100 experts from industry and academia looking at areas including the technical and commercial viability of a future zero-carbon emission commercial aircraft design; technology and industrialisation roadmaps; and assessments of the sustainability issues, the UK industrial capability, and market and economic viability.

The Role

Work with the Industrial Strategy team to deliver a dynamic campaign of engagement to support the formation of the UK’s roadmaps and strategic case for zero carbon aviation. Work with UK stakeholders to facilitate input to UK roadmaps. Gather industry requirements and support for proposal for follow-on activity, aiming to maximise UK benefit from FlyZero technologies. Support one-to-one engagements with UK companies from large multi-nationals to micro-SMEs. Organise and facilitate workshops and round tables across the regions of the UK. Drive engagement across aerospace and other relevant UK sectors.
